A Nursing Scientist and Licensed Acupuncturist at the University of Utah, Dr. Lisa Taylor-Swanson’s program of research aims to reduce disproportionate symptom burden during the menopausal transition across socioeconomic strata by developing and implementing effective interventions feasible in health systems and utilizing complexity-informed research methods. Her current work is developing an integrative medicine group visit that delivers education about menopause and integrative health self-care such as acupressure and mindfulness, medical care, and health screenings.
